Here, are some steps that you can follow to get free E-mail alerts on mobile as sms.
I even use this . It is very easy as well as reliable.
1. Go to way2sms.com ,create an account/if you already have then login
2. Click "Send free Sms" ,then click "Mail alerts".
3. Then you will get a mail Id like *** *****@way2sms.com
4. Logon to your Gmail account.
6. Select 'Forward a copy of incoming mail to" option & Enter your Way2SMS Email ID *** *****@way2sms.com there.
8. Gmail sends a verification code to *****@way2sms.com .
9. Check your Gmail confirmation code from adjacent Inbox tab Or You will receive gmail confirmation mail alert on your mobile with subject line containing confirmation code.
10. Copy and paste the verification code in Gmail verification box.Click On Verfy.
11. Finished. You will now receive alerts for every incoming mail that arrives in your gmail id( You can filter alerts by choosing which emails you want to alert, and when you want to receive them ).
I came across a site called weekwill.com. It sends out email alerts on sms instantly within 30 seconds. I tried it with email account and it truly notifies me as sms whenever I get email in my inbox.
